Origin: Bulgaria
Botanical Name: Solidago Virgaurea

Solidago virgaurea is an herbaceous perennial plant of the family Asteraceae. It is widespread across most of Europe as well as North Africa and northern, central, and southwestern Asia. It is grown as a garden flower with many different cultivars. It flowers profusely in late summer. The bright yellow flowers are arranged in dense, elongated clusters, resembling a plume or wand. The leaves are typically lance-shaped and serrated along the edges.
Usage: Place 1-2 teaspoons of dried goldenrod flowers and leaves in a teapot or a heat-resistant container. Boil 1 cup water and pour it over the goldenrod. Cover the container and let the goldenrod steep for 5-10 minutes. After steeping, strain the tea to remove the goldenrod flowers and leaves.
Traditional Use
