Camellia sinensis is a species of evergreen shrub or small tree in the flowering plant family Theaceae. Its leaves, leaf buds, and stems can be used to produce tea. Camellia sinensis is native to East Asia, the Indian Subcontinent, and Southeast Asia, but it is today cultivated all around the world in tropical and subtropical regions. It is an evergreen shrub or small tree that is usually trimmed to below 2 m (6.6 ft) when cultivated for its leaves. The leaves of Camellia sinensis are evergreen, glossy, and serrated. The young, tender leaves and buds are typically used for tea production. Dried green tea typically has a fresh, grassy, or vegetal taste with varying degrees of sweetness, bitterness, and astringency. Beyond being a beverage, dried green tea can be used in cooking and baking, adding a unique flavor to dishes like ice cream, cakes, and savory dishes.
Usage: Boil 1 glass of water. Put 1 teaspoon of dried green tea in it. Brew for 3-5 minutes. Strain. You can shorten or extend the brewing time according to your taste.

Organic Sencha leaf from China. Brew with hot, not boiling, water (80–90 °C) for 3–5 minutes for a light green cup with grassy, nutty, slightly marine notes.
