Olive Tree Leaves
Olive Leaf / Olive Tree Leaves / Olea europaea / Olive Leaf Cuts / Organic Dried Herbs
Origin: Bulgaria
Botanical Name: Olea Europaea
Olive leaf is the leaf of the olive tree (Olea europaea). The silvery green leaves are oblong, measuring 4–10 centimetres long and 1–3 centimetres wide. When consumed, leaves have an astringent bitter taste. Olive leaves are sometimes used in deluxe Chinese cuisine. Olive leaves have been used by Gina Keatley in the creation of Matche, powdered olive leaves used on desserts and in tea. Dried olive leaves can also be used to infuse into other liquids, such as vinegar or oil, for culinary. Olive tea is also rich in vitamins and minerals.
Using: Add one tablespoon of dried olive leaves to 1 cup of hot water. Steep for around 10 minutes. Sweeten the bitter taste with lemon or honey.
Traditional Use
