Veronica officinalis, commonly known as speedwell or common speedwell, is a perennial herbaceous plant native to Europe and western Asia. It belongs to the Plantaginaceae family. The plant typically grows in grasslands, meadows, and open woodlands, and it is also cultivated as a garden ornamental. Speedwell has small, delicate blue flowers with four petals, arranged in spikes along the stems. The leaves are opposite, oval-shaped, and toothed. It blooms from spring to summer. Dried speedwell herb tea has a mild, slightly bitter taste with subtle herbal notes.
Usage: Add 1-2 teaspoons dried herbs to 1 glass of boiling water. Brew for 5-10 minutes. Strain.
Traditional Use

- As a soothing gargle for the throat and mouth
- To support the kidneys and urinary system
- To support focus and recovery during mental fatigue and stress
- Externally, infused in olive oil for the skin
